Today we are sharing a gorgeous wedding photographed by Alixann Loosle to give a little inspiration to our engaged brides that are planning summer weddings. We were so delighted when the bride herself shared with us what her and her groom did right when it came to planning the wedding!
I would say that Ben and I did well planning the event together. He came with me to look for venues and we quickly chose Millcreek Inn. It was fun to choose the venue together and got us both excited about the actual wedding day. We both wanted an outdoors wedding and reception, and Millcreek Inn provided us an intimate and removed feel which really made the event special. We also wanted our guests to feel relaxed and have an enjoyable time celebrating with us. So, after the ceremony we had a cocktail hour with appetizers and a photobooth set up so guests could move around and interact. We followed this with a delicious and relaxing sit down dinner, which was nice for us as well as our guests. We ended the night with dancing and thanks to our DJ, we had young and old alike dancing and having a blast until midnight. Reflecting on our wedding day, Ben and I both feel like we had fun and that our family and friends did too. This is exactly what I had hoped for when I was planning my wedding. It was a wonderful, memorable day.
