2016 Summer Editorial Feature: Desert Aisle {details}

05 19 2016

Every substantial event in our society usually includes an invitation of some sort, we felt an elopement should be no exception. Few designers boast the organic talent that Nikkol at Refine does. Because of the nature + style of this shoot we knew she would be a perfect fit and without even much styling knowledge she delivered a soulful elopement invitation complimented by vows. The tones used pulled seamlessly from the lava rock in shades of charcoal, blue, green, gold, and back.

“And even though I am unsure ….. about most things in life …. I am certain that I love you and will continue to love you forever …”

This cake belongs in a nature museum. Sweet Cakes by Karen pushed herself creatively and therefor infused soul and art into this rock inspired cake. A celebratory symbol for an intimate celebration consistent with style and environment. Rocks from Vintau graced the cake table and other areas to bring in soul + beauty from the earths many treasured places.

The jewelry details, specifically the rosary was an important detail used for this shoot. Thanks to Amanda at Recycled  Consign + Design. Accessories that did not distract but complimented and something that symbolizes personal worship and belief is so powerful when a couple is making promises to one another.

Last but certainly not least floral stepped in as the finishing detail that it almost always is. This was a simple + intimate elopement so the flowers were simple but so gorgeous. Ari + Ris delivered a bouquet rick in color + contrast creating interest and intrigue that paralleled the environment. They matched it up with a grooms boutonniere and also adorned our ceremonial structure with natural greens and floral accents.

Thanks to Alyssa Ence Photography for shooting this editorial and doing such an amazing job! Stay tuned tomorrow for one soulful elopement film from Amber Green!
